MINIKHAN Camper Guide (Rules + Manual Combined)

This guide is required to reduce safety risks, battery drain, and fines/extra charges.

1) 10-Min Quick Start (Upon arrival)

  • Park, shift to P, and engage the parking brake.

  • Check power bank ON and inverter ON.

  • Check wind/rain: do not use the awning in strong wind.

  • If using the diesel heater, keep fuel above 1/2.

2) Power Rules

  • High-watt appliances are not allowed: kettle, electric grill, electric blanket, electric heater, air fryer, etc.
(risk of overload, fire, and rapid battery drain)

  • Allowed (recommended): phone/camera/laptop charging, small lights/fans.

  • Cooking alternatives provided: gas stove, pot, wind shield, griddle.

3) Diesel Heater Rules (Important)

  • Keep the power bank ON while using the heater.

  • If fuel is below 1/2, the heater may stop or work poorly. Refuel first.

  • Ventilate slightly: keep a window 1–2 cm open.

  • Heater vents must be open (2-seater model):

    • Vent next to the power bank

    • Vent next to the rooftop-tent outlet

4) Rooftop Tent / Awning Rules and Pre-drive Check

  • Setup/pack-down: flat ground → parking brake ON → engine ON (or follow vehicle instructions).

  • Do not use the awning in strong wind/gusts/rain forecast.

  • Before sleeping, the awning must be fully closed.

  • Do not force parts. If anything feels stuck, stop and contact the host.

  • If you hear a beeping sound after closing the rooftop tent (2-seater model):

    1. Open the rear side of the rooftop tent by hand

    2. Push the tent further inward

    3. Close it by hand, then drive

5) Long Parking Mode (Prevent Battery Drain)

When parked for a long time:

  • Turn dashcam power OFF (or disconnect).

  • When driving again, turn the dashcam power ON.

  • Keep the car key with you (do not leave it inside).

  • Minimize unnecessary electricity use.

  • Charging tip: running the engine for about 30 minutes may help prevent battery drain and can help charge the power bank (recognized as driving-charge). Please consider noise/air-quality and follow local rules.

6) Parking, Fines, and Tolls

  • High enforcement areas: yellow lines (single/double), bus stops, fire hydrants, crosswalk zones.

  • If you receive fines (parking, speeding, unpaid tolls):

    • Pay immediately on-site if possible (late fees may apply).

    • If on-site payment is not possible or unclear, contact the host immediately.

  • Highway tolls: cash only (no Hi-Pass/ETC). Use lanes marked “현금” (Cash).

7) Insurance (Important: Koreans vs Foreign guests)

  • Korean guests: if collision coverage is needed, the renter arranges one-day collision insurance independently.

  • Foreign guests: one-day insurance is not available. After booking, an insurance fee of KRW 100,000 for the rental period will be charged separately and must be paid before departure.
